URBANIA / TBILISI ATLAS

Measure distances and draw on the map

Measure distance or area and draw lines or polygons in Urbania. Keep user-created sketches separate from official cadastral geometry.

Guide reviewed: Editorial date — not a parcel-data update.

Short answer

Is an area measured in Atlas official?

No. Distances and areas calculated from points you place on the map are approximate. The tools support research and annotation, not replacement of a cadastral survey or registry record.

Choose the right tool

Choose distance, area, line or polygon. On a phone, additional tools are under More (მეტი).

  1. Zoom in and check that the basemap is appropriate.
  2. Place the required points and complete the drawing with the tool’s finish action.
  3. Compare the resulting outline with the intended research area.
  4. Use the drawing and workspace saving features if you want to continue later.

Limits of the result

A line traced along an image edge is not an official boundary. Straight-line distance does not automatically describe a walking or driving route. A drawing is neither a project approval nor a building permit.

This guide is not a parcel assessment, a current registry extract or a building permit.
