Short answer
What does a source status tell me?
A status describes evidence for a particular item, not the safety of the whole parcel. Read it together with the source, retrieval time and remaining limitations.
Four evidence states
- SOURCE_VERIFIED — Verified against the source for that result
- REFERENCE — Reference or contextual information
- PARTIAL — Only part of the required evidence is available
- UNKNOWN — The information could not be established
Source dates and stored responses
A stored response makes Atlas faster; storage does not turn it into current official evidence. A document’s date, the retrieval time and a guide’s editorial review date are different dates.
When sources disagree
Do not transfer a fact beyond its source’s scope: NAPR covers registration; municipal GIS covers zoning and geometry; TAS covers architecture cases. Record conflicts separately and check the object, version and coverage.

- NAPR
Registration, extracts, ownership and burdens.
- MSDA / GIS
Parcel geometry, functional zoning and municipal layers.
- TAS
Architecture applications, decisions and project materials.
- OSM
Location and urban context, not official ownership, zoning or utility-connection evidence.
